Hambledon Church

Busbridge has worked in partnership with the neighbouring parish of St Peter’s Hambledon since 1997 – to be technical, the two parishes form a United Benefice.
All the clergy have responsibilities in both churches, and our Associate Minister, Stephanie, is half-time in each and leads Hambledon on a day-to-day basis under the authority of the Rector.
St Peter’s is a warm and thriving church at the heart of Hambledon village, with a friendly congregation of all ages including some lively children’s groups. We offer a warm welcome to anyone who would like to join us, of any Christian denomination or none. Above all we seek to be a community that knows and loves Jesus and shares his love with those around us.
We run two services every Sunday morning, equal in size and with the same teaching programme, but different in style:
• Our earlier service (8.00/9.30am) is formal, reflective and liturgical and uses hymns and psalms played on the organ. This service usually uses the Book of Common Prayer which is the 1662 prayer book
• Our later service (11.00am) is informal, lively and more spontaneous; the music is a mixture of old and new played on guitars and keyboard and when we use liturgy it’s in modern English (Common Worship). There are children’s groups at this service.
We also have a range of midweek groups and activities. If you want to know more about St Peter’s Church you'll find us on the Hambledon Village Website.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.'
